Ingredients:
1/3 cup plain flour (sifted)
2 tbsp. cocoa powder (sifted)
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder (sifted)
1/4 cup condensed milk
1 tbsp. castor sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/4 tsp. vanilla essence
2 tbsp. melted unsalted butter
Methods:
- In a mixer bowl whisk egg with sugar until soft peaks.
- Add vanilla essence and butter, and mix well.
- In a bowl mix together sifted flour, cocoa powder and baking powder.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternately with milk, mixing gently until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a 6-inch cake pan, lightly brushed with oil and sprinkled some flour. This is to prevent the batter from sticking onto the cake pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven of 160 degree Celsius for 30 minutes or until a wooden skewer inserted comes out clean.
- Cool, slice and serve!
I adapted this recipe from 'Yummy Recipes' with a slight adjustment to suit my baking preference.
