Soft Potato Bread With Custard Topping

I love bread/buns made with a combination of mashed potatoes.  It is light, soft and fluffy.  With the sweetness of the custard cross topping, it is one delicious buns to enjoy any time of the day.  I am intending to make this recipe into a loaf bread, in the near future.

For infor, I did not brush with sugary syrup when it comes out of the oven.  That is why my buns looks a bit dull, but I don't mind as it taste good!

Sharing my frequent revisit bread and buns recipes from my home kitchen

I have been intending to bake breads and buns for my home consumption since my early retirement 20 years ago. I have this wrong idea of, to bake bread I must have a bread maker.  However, with the lock down during the Covid time, I research a lot on bread making as most of the time I am staying indoor while my hubby is out buying groceries and all other needed items.  Thanks to the many successful Home Bakers and Chefs, who, whole heartedly share their recipes and tips on bread making through online.  Now, I am so proud to share my bread baking journey with all my friends and those who love baking!

There are quite a few bread recipes which I frequent revisit, bake them and enjoys them in the comfort of our home.  To be very frank, I very seldom buy ready made breads/buns from bakery since I starts baking my own bread/buns.

Today, I am sharing a few of my frequent baked bread and buns with all my bread lovers out there.  Thanks for all your support!


(1)  Cranberry Bread

My first bake on this delicious bread is using Raisins, but since I have Cranberries, so I decided to use Cranberries instead. Click this link here for the full recipe.

Butter Pandesal

I've baked Pandesal before, but this time round, I am trying out this new recipe which is wrapped with a teaspoon of cold butter.  I can imagine how tasty this would be ~ yummy ~

I made a second batch for my friend to try, and I made it into 15 buns/rolls instead of 12 as per the earlier batch.  The size of the first batch is much bigger, and making them into 15 buns/rolls is best.

Coffee Hot Cross Buns

This Holy Week, I baked a batch of Coffee Hot Cross Buns using the same recipe which I baked last year.  Instead of using Cranberries, I filled it with Raisins.


After Church Service on Good Friday, I had this Coffee Hot Cross Bun with a glass of Ice Matcha Latte.  


My daughter-in-law bought me a packet of Uji Matcha Double Rich (Matcha Milk) during her visit to Japan.  It's so yummy with a slight tang of sweetness, not overly sweet.

Sweet Milk Cranberries Buns

This is another buns/bread recipe which captures my heart.  I came across it online recently.  The filling resembles my favorite Buttermilk Buns filling, yet something unique.

Siopao Chicken Buns

 
I am trying a hand on this attractive Siopao, using bread/buns dough, than the ones which I purchased outside using the pastry dough.  The filling ingredients are Simple Yet Yummylicious!

Easy Dinner Rolls


I am trying out another Dinner Rolls or Buns recipe which we called it in my Country.  These cute little bread rolls never fails to tempt me.  Love them!

Coffee Bread and Coffee Hot Cross Buns with Cranberries

Such a tempting recipe will never pass by me without trying it out!  My first try out is a loaf of delicious and tasty Bread.  The smell of the coffee floods the whole house and just couldn't wait to taste it.


Two weeks after, I try out this same recipe, but baked them into Hot Cross Buns with tangy dried cranberries. They are awesome!!


I am so happy to share the photos which I have captured throughout the process of baking this delicious Coffee Bread and Coffee Hot Cross Buns.
