2 strips of pork belly, with skin
Marinade:
1 piece red beancurd
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp of five spice powder
1/2 tsp of ground pepper
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 tbsp light soy sauce
2 tbsp cornflour
Dash of salt (to taste)
Methods:
- Clean the pork belly and cut into bite-size pieces.
- Mix together all the marinade ingredients and marinate the pork belly for 2 to 3 hours.
- Heat up enough oil in a wok, when oil is hot with medium heat add in the marinated pork belly and deep fry until golden brown.
- Dish up, drain on absorbent paper and serve.
Note: This deep-fried aromatic pork belly is best served with sambal belacan.
